ok, here's the cover of the book with my playboy cover drawings in it. "he ain't no vargas" is the title...get it? kind of funny if you do....anyway, we'll have it soon, a vary limited edition...and it'll be in next months playboy along with a small article / interview with me, plus several of my covers will be in it as well. when i get all the info i'll fill you in...

ok.....thought i'd chime in here for a minute....tomorrow is st. patty's day and they're conservatively predicting 300,000 folks to come downtown and act the fool, a bunch of drunks...the parade starts two blocks down from me and they stage everything right out of my window, i'm on the second floor / the high ground and i'm digging in for the attack. there's no parking in front of my building so i've already taken up a spot on e 23rd next to the building. there's this gospel church that moved into the second floor of the warehouse my building is attached to. they have a god awful sound systems and god has not blessed them with good vocals to make up for that....anyway, me and that congregation have not seen eye to eye on an issue that i'm not going to go into, lets just say i'm righteous regarding it....anyway again, it's a shame no one told them about the not only lack of parking they'll encounter (and the preacher drives a very expensive car, how did that happen?) but the number of blocks they'll have to walk to get to singing tomorrow.
tuesday is the day my councilman johnson, another councilman cimperman who's secretary got a chewing out from me over the phone (i thought he was my councilman..boy is my face red)...which set this in motion, commander of the 3rd district police, the head of the cleveland state police department, the head of the downtown cleveland coalition, and several others..AND a special guest star i can't mention at this point, will be meeting with me, tenets, business owners, and my landlord about the inability of the city to do anything about the BS here and around my building....i'll let you all know how it went tuesday / wednesday.
as far as work goes...i'm pushing on with my 8 rack pieces, the themes vary, some are my typical depression i hate me stuff that have nothing to do with the band, some are related to the band, some others the colors of the covers are being taken into consideration while putting it together...yet a few others, 8 tracks and works on paper, are dealing with retribution, reaction to dismissal, making a bed.
here are the test playboy print proofs i mentioned in the march 7th update...still haven't decided on which ones we're going with yet.

ok...playboy magazine is going to do a small feature on the art i've been doing on the vintage playboy covers over the past few years. i believe it'll be in next months issue, but i could be wrong...i'll let you know when i'm right
also regarding playboy, we're going to have a limited edition run book of the playboy covers soon AND 1xrun out of detroit is doing some limited run prints that will have some of the originals available soon too.
kidrobot will have a sculpted piece of mine available very soon as well, as with the playboy article you'll find out when as soon as i do.
...and today i chose to pull out an old hardcore t shirt for thisdayforward to wear. it's so strange to call them old, but as far as how quickly music changes these day, i guys technical they are.
