i put up two pieces i did last night in the original archive gallery. they're two more of those flower pieces. i also got the rad aunts poster from 1995 re-scanned, looks good.

two new pieces are now up in the original archive gallery, they are both 'flower' pieces. i also put two more nice re-scanned posters up. one in for killdozer in 1994, it's in the 1994 poster gallery. the other poster is "incendiary behavior - the art of derek hess" which was an art show i had in omaha in 1995. the cows played the after show of that opening. that one is in the 1995 poster gallery.

turtle compound presses forward

so the turtle compound (see jan 22nd update and before) has found it's way across the hall from my studio to my apartment. it's sitting on an old desk that's heavier than the turtle pen. it was in the studio when i moved in, i guess it was too heavy for the previous tenets. you can see how the side facing the camera flips down to gain easy access to the inside for cleaning or whatever. the next step is to put in gravel, followed by dirt, then turf.

ok, i'm booked to be at the musink fest at the orange county fairgrounds in california march 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The event itself is pretty cool, an impressive band line up including alkaline trio, new found glory, tiger army, etc. as for the ink side, there will be over 30 tattooist and artists.

i have a new WWII / fish piece called "focke wulf crappie devil" in the originals archive gallery, go take a look. i also got another jesus lizard poster re-scanned. this one is in the 1995 poster gallery and is one of the show's in another venue from the euclid tavern that i promoted. it's the jesus lizard with cop shoot cop, and what an amazing show that was.
i'm going to be on the radio again this friday on bill peters show "metal on metal". he's been doing metal on metal for 30 years, pretty amazing. i actually did a flyer for metal on metal's 25th anniversary show. bill is an awesome guy and does an equally awesome show week after week. it's one of those radio shows where if you tune in you know it's gonna rule and you'll hear something new and learn something new every week (past play lists here)....anyway, enough smoke, he's on WJCU 88.7 here in cleveland and you can listen on line, so please do, jose will be there.

i have a new piece i did last night up in the original archive gallery called "thus IV". there's a turtle sketch i did a few days ago on the back of an envelope up in that gallery as well. i got another poster re-scanned and up too. many of the early to mid 1990's poster scans aren't that great and i'm chipping away at getting them all fixed. the one i got done is for the jesus lizard, that poster was for a show at the odeon here in cleveland and was also one i promoted. it's in the 1996 poster gallery.
