under fire

so me and jose are walking home from playhouse square after securing my morning quad tall soy latte and we're cutting through part of cleveland state as we do every morning. we're passing through a small area of grass and trees on the corner of chester and east 22nd when all of a sudden all these round black protrusions pop up all over the lawn about 8" tall...they were sprinkler heads and they immediately started sprinkling. it was like we were in the middle of a mine field (and we were literally in the center of the space) and one blew up like in that scene from
kelly's heros, one of the all time greatest movies ever, the film stars
Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, Carroll O'Connor, and
Donald Sutherland....anyway, we were totally under fire, someone waited till the right moment and triggered the claymores.jose and i made the mad dash to safety and were lucky, just a little water damage. a huge cold front is coming through and wind warnings have been issued, all the spray was blowing one way and became more of a mist....so that was our excitement for the day.
