jose is doing great...thanks for all the emails - today on our walking around the block we ran into tonya and her crew that hang in a stair well three doors down. they're homeless and drink there till the shelter opens at 9:30pm. anyway, they LOVE jose, and he loves them of corse. we hung out for a while and when it was time to leave jose was walking all slow and tonya goes "jose, don't you be pimp walking on me now", which he was. anyway, around the other side of the block we ran into this other group who hangs out in a door way on payne ave. they were all about jose as usual, he is the pimp of the nation. anyway they knew about him being run over. the one woman who was just meeting jose for the first time was told about what had happened said "he's a soldier". second soldier comment on the ho so far in this hood in two weeks,  jose has street cred

jose is doing much better today, he had to go into the vet and stay all day yesterday at the, and this morning he had to go in to get a penicillin shot along with a shot of something that would cut down on his stomach acids so he could eat...and he's eating and going on small walks - looks like he finally made the turn, fingers crossed

two days ago my pal spodee was making a pot roast over at my place. me and jose just got back from a walk, a good walk in the snow, he loves the snow. i had him chasing after pigeons, barking, etc. when we got back he was barking and chasing the cat around the apartment, getting back to being himself. spodee had the meat for the stew cut up and ready to cook, i hadn't gave jose any raw red meat in a while, and he loves the red meat, so i gave him a little. twenty minutes later he throws it up and starts shaking like he's cold. his condition got worse, he didn't want to walk, he was holding his head down, and very lethargic. i called up the animal emergency place since it was sunday and they were the only place open. we shoot out there and i go over what had happened, jose is getting worse the whole time. i left him over night and in the morning i pick him up and take him to our regular vet. the only explanation they have as to why this is going on is the red meat may have been to much for him to digest so close to the car trauma he had. i pick him up and he's not getting better. so i took him back to the vet this morning and they're running tests right now, i pick him up later today.
